The Beginning of a 40-year Business
Mar-Don Energy Services is part of a family business that has been involved in the natural gas industry for over 40 years. The founding company, Mar-Don, Inc.; was established in 1979. Beginning with basic services such as excavation and earth work, the business quickly expanded into utility installation and pipeline construction.
After steady growth in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, Mar-Don expanded operations into Virginia and Kentucky. In various capacities, Mar-Don served the oil and gas industry through well location construction, site reclamation, pipeline installation, well tending, water hauling, drilling rig moves, and compressor station construction and installation.
With newfound gas production in the Marcellus Shale throughout the Northeast, Mar-Don Inc began a separate entity to focus on the gaining industry in West Virginia. Mar-Don Energy Services, LLC was then established in the later part of 2013. Mar-Don, Inc. still remains but is now focused primarily in south western Virginia.
